I know that the Pioneer Serato relationship means that they get out of the box turnkey solution but it seems strange that the rane flagship doesn't.

Hey guys,
We’re currently working on confirming the next round of hardware that will be supported in Serato Studio. Unfortunately the Rane 72 is not straight forward to map so needs to be sequenced in amongst other priorities.
Please keep an eye on our Using MIDI devices & Serato Studio compatible hardware article (support.serato.com) for any future developments.

Just adding my voice to the choir. I'd love to use my Rane 72 with Studio (and heck, why not 12s too for fine grained sample setting?).

I just bought Serato Studio thinking I could use the pads on my shiny new Seventy Two MKII and 2x Twelve MKII, no dice on either. Thought this would be a given, hoping to see this added.

If the low end gear from Numark and Pioneer have support, I don't see why Rane shouldn't. Lack of hardware support is the #1 reason I don't use Studio more often.
