Hey, this isnt an ssl issue as such, but more a general problem im having.

Im being denied access to some of the mp3s on my system - by this i mean i cant seem to edit the tags of these files. I can play them, but when i try to edit their info, such as in itunes-->right click on song-->get info, i click on the info tab and everything's grayed out. Trying to edit the tag info in Mp3tag results in a "cannot open file for writing" message.

Im running XP, as a restricted user. If i view the properties of such files just using windows explorer, everything seems in order, the Read Only checkbox isnt marked. The only thing i can think of is somehow ownership has changed to the user Administrator which is the only other account on the computer, which is bizzare because all these files have been ripped in the same way as all the other, normal, mp3s on my computer. Is there an app that i can use to change the ownership or something of these files so they can be written to by all users?

Cheers.

Tried right clicking on them and opening properties? They might be write-protected...

Easiest thing to do (if you can) is just make copies of the files and then delete the orginals.
I'm just poking around windows on my system and it doesn't look like windows gives you access to file security unless you are part of a domain.

Make sure the files aren't in use somewhere, editing ID3 >v2 requires exclusive access to the files.
