thinking of getting one of these but not sure..would it be worth it?
what can i use it for in serato..i know for que points but is there another use?
can the knobs by assigned to the efx in ssl 2.0 or any other use for it?

yeah, you can use loops, samples, etc. The best part is using it for efx, thats the main reason I bought the lpd8. works great with the 2.0

Doin the same thing, for anybody doing that, you Have to have a AC powered hub. I was stupid enough not to plug it one night and mymidi controller was going on and off all the time

I bought one last week and it's dope. The pads feel real nice and it looks dope when they light up. I use the knobs for the efx and right now I'm just trigering loops and cues with the pads. I'm currious to see what others who have the same controller are mapping to what controls.

I got mine at Guitar Center for $49.99 which is a great deal considering a few years ago I bought an Akai MPD16 from there a few years ago for about $100 and I can't even use it with my PC's due to o/s compatibility issues. I would definately suggest picking one up just to play around with and see where it can take your mix-game.

yeah i recently picked one of these up. i would like see some different efx and loop pad configurations. should be a fun toy. will post up some youtube videos of my pad set-up once i get to know it. one shortfall now is that it doesn't fit below my mb pro on my stanton uberstand.

if i was going to get it it would only be for the knobs for EFX. and maybe i would use the buttons for the on/off on the EFX.
i wouldnt use it for the cue points, or for looping either. u can do the easily on the keyboard.

please peep this other thread i started on midi controllers: scratchlive.net

I scooped up the MPD16 from the Sacramento GC on Arden Way, and I grabbed the LPD from the Roseville store.
