Why are you (Serato) hosting all these 4 deck controllers?? Then only giving access to 2 decks?? I know this is beginners software but these are not beginner controllers, in my opinion. Is there plans for 4 decks in the future?? I just would like a reasonable explanation please?

www.reloopdj.com for those that are wondering......

Serato intro are getting better controller than itch. We hope the Itch controllers are coming but some of these decision leaves one to wonder. Maybe the licensing fee for itch is too high so they are going to cheap route with INTRO.

As a channel for constructive feedback to the Serato crew, can I just agree here? Intro on a 4-channel controller/mixer where you can route external sources to the other 2 channels is all good and actually quite attractive - i.e N4. But on something like the Reloop then you just have two extra unusable channels sitting there on your hardware. It's a bad look for your brand as you end up with a real mismatch between hardware and software.

If the product family was architected such that you could pay to upgrade to fancier versions with 4 deck support (i.e. the Traktor LE - Pro model) then that might make sense, but it's not. Or if your "free" product rocked 4 decks (ie the Virtual DJ model). But as you don't work that way, I'd just keep Intro off 4 channel controllers unless they can route other sources to the spare channels - don't let the Serato brand get tainted with a poor user experience.

Or maybe Reloop should just put their hand in their pocket and pay to licence Itch.

I guarantee it's their choice, not Serato's.

This.

Speak to reloop, not serato!

Yes, it's Reloop's choice and they're creating a poor Serato user experience by doing so - so IMO Serato should not allow them to use Intro.

Really important point in imo. Seems like a strange move to do with software.
