So, to talk about the entire thing......

As far as the battle itself, what SUCKED is that they gave us a list of 48 songs to choose from. Which included: Shimmy Shimmy Ya, Put your hands where my eyes can see, TROY, Superthug, Tighten Up (old song), En Vogue "Hold on" and "Never gonna get it," Soul man, Express yourself (the original), Stetsasonic "Talkin all that Jazz," Try a little tenderness, Nu Shooz "I can't wait," You're a jerk, and...those were basically the best songs. So this made it HARD, but forced creativity for sure.

For the viewing that they have on the site....they edited and only show the first minute of my sets...so they missed ALL my best parts. Me scratching with a shoe, juggling the Busta Rhymes track, going to 45 speed on a loop to make a B-More beat, Cuttin up Stetsasonic to make it talk shit to the other DJ's, etc etc. I think they're gonna put the whole video up of my sets later though.

For the judging..............*knows this is the internet*.............anyways.

One thing about this whole competition, historically, is that it's based more on party rockers than straight technical side DMC DJ's...which makes sense, since they get us to do their events. I'd say Master of the mix is a combo of both sides...party rockers and technical experts.

LOL...Erika's pretty good, the fact that we had to use their songs hurt all of us, and I think they both tried to play the random songs that weren't as predictable, but that made most folks say "WTF are they playing?" They also cut out a LOT of scenes...Erika had some dope body tricks, and they missed all my good parts.

I've seen Just DJ and he's pretty dope, technically and with the music. Clue, ehhh. Wack. And yeah, judging was still way way too close...I barely won it!

I peeped to see how they would act, but they shook hands acted like they actually got along. You know how it goes...some industry beefs are played up to be more than what they are...while on the other hand, real legit beefs can be camouflaged when it's not the time and place for it, at least when it's professionals and not hoodlums.
