SG SOUNDS 10:07 PM - 27 March, 2014
Is anybody on this forum using the new pioneer cdj 900nexus with scratch live? Looking to buy a pair to go with my rane62 or should i get the 900's? Would love to get some honest feed back from cdj 900nexus users...Bless..
SG SOUNDS 3:26 AM - 28 March, 2014
Nobody?
raequan 12:20 PM - 28 March, 2014
it is up in the air if serato will include the 900 nexus as an HID compliant accessory in SSL in the future. you can use your 900 with time code for now if you want.

you can as for a feature request. serato.com

the regular 900 is HID supported.

the 900 nexus might get HID support in SDJ...... the 850's just got it HID in 1.6.1

Thanks for the info raequan...You would think HID would be supported on the 900 nexus can't find no info on the net on when it will be supported..

its up to pioneer and serato to get together on this.
SG SOUNDS 3:39 PM - 14 April, 2014
How are they using time code? Anybody? ready to buy a pair this week..
BrendanClay 11:48 PM - 3 June, 2014
Timecode, in theory, should be no different on this CDJ, than others.

HID would be absolutely ideal.

I have requested it here: serato.com

Feel free to jump on!

I believe the photo you posted, only advises of HID support with Serato DJ.

I might have missed the point of the post, however.

That is correct. Only supports SDJ. I highly doubt they will support SSL with any newer products. Considering all support for SSL with be dropped next year. Just my 2 pennies.

I hope you're wrong about that.

Sadly, I don't think you are.

we need this final feature for 2.5
BrendanClay 12:50 AM - 16 July, 2014
Yes. We most certainly do.

a.) There are only about six months until SSL is no longer supported so ................ not looking good

b.) DO NOT take this as fact yet (as in unless I can find the link again) but I do remember reading that SSL will not be getting anymore updates of ANY kind.

I hate to say it but if you were Serato would you put man hours into an application that will no longer be supported in less than a year? Then again MS claims NO MORE SUPPORT for XP then releases updates after forcing everyone to update. You never know but let's be real it's probably not gonna happen.
Asu 2:52 PM - 28 July, 2014
you maybe right dave but at the same time,i was hoping Serato gives us a last surprise...a perfect send off for SSL on a high note :-)
deejdave 4:31 PM - 28 July, 2014
Would be nice. Pitch N Time, THIS, whatever. You know what I wish they would do?

There have been a TON of new additions & updates over the years for SSL. I often wonder how many incomplete functions never made it past alpha testing. Maybe Serato could release some alpha versions. Even on an "at your own risk" basis SOME of this stuff could prove to be VERY useful & who knows what they have in their vaults. If the proper stuff were to be included I may be inclined to fire up SSL again. Then again that may be what they are trying to avoid LOL. As you guys said ONE CAN HOPE>
