Serato Software Feature Suggestions

What features would you like to see in Serato software?

RECORD MICROPHONE INPUT

Nyquist Theory 4:00 PM - 7 April, 2014
Hey Serato,

I've been asking about being able to record the Mic input in software ever since I decided to purchase the full version for its' "Recording Ability". I was very disappointed to find that there was no ability to record the Mic input.

Users should have the option to add the Mic input as part of the recording.

Other threads on this topic that have gone cold, so I want to know...

Is there any movement within Serato to make this happen?

Thanks,
Nyquist Theory

Hello,

Any update on this? I searched other threads and I've seen that you're aware of this, but I want to know if this is on the roadmap for an upcoming release.

Thanks,

What kind of gear do you use? I can record my mic input on my 61.

I'm using Numark Mixtrack Pro. Just tested again on SDJ 1.6.2 and it doesn't work for me.

Do you guys have multiple options on your "Record" area? My only option is "Mix" and it doesn't seem to be picking up the mic input.

I'd imagine there would be one like "Mix + Mic" to let you choose if you want to record the mic input or not.

I can choose mic, line 1, line 2, mix etc, when using Rane Sixty One. The 61 also works as a 12 Channel soundcard, when using other software.

Looks like it's related to the Mixtrack Pro. Hope Serato makes this feature available to all controllers soon.

The SX doesn't work too serato.com

...and NS7II serato.com

...or many other controllers serato.com (interestingly how they say it's not possible and use Audacity).

I think the SZ is in the minority of being able to do it. According to this it's coming (dated Nov 2012) serato.com Theory - You posted in this too. It's not just a Mixtrack thing. We need it fixing.

I think they have no real plan on doing it soon. It's a shame as there are so many open threads asking for it but it's been too long.

Agreed - it is a shame. It's crazy how fast a year and a half goes by.

I really hope Serato figures this out across the board. It's a real issue and it seems like it will continue to be overlooked.

I started this thread to get an answer from Serato. The question remains - when will this be made available to everyone?!?

I can't see light at the end of the tunnel with this. The response from them was just "use Audacity" which isn't what we want to do really.
