Serato Freezes when clicking Activate/Buy

Hello,
John from Numark here, I wanted to request some assistance with a software bug I haven't encountered before. A user is using 1.7.1 (tried 1.7 as well) and when clicking activate/buy, the software freezes until task manager opens and the process is ended. When doing so, there are actually 2 serato DJ applications displayed in the task manager, despite there being only one instance of the plugin being open. Closing one causes the other to not respond.
User is using an HP computer, with 6gb of RAM, and an intel i5 processor running Windows 7 64 bit. We've tried reinstalling and fixing registry issues using CCleaner and the problem persists. User is running McAfee, which we disabled while downloading and installing the software. Any recommendations would be a big help.
All of these problems occur whether the controller is plugged in or not.
Thanks,
-John

Micah,
It appears he's all set. The user was not the administrator of the computer, but despite selecting 'Run as Administrator', there were still issues. Once we changed his account settings, it seemed to resolve the issue.
Regards,
John
