MACBOOK PRO
13" mid 2009
2,53 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
4 GB 1067 MHz DDR3 (im planning to upgrade to 8GB)
NVIDIA GeForce 9400M 256 MB

I have an 160GB SSD.

What I want to know if this processor is slowly beeing outfased or If it will bo OK for a couple of years.

The reason why Im asking is Im planning to get a larger drive 480GB and upgrade the RAM to 8GB. And also, im migrating from Serato Scracth Live (I have two 1210 and a Rane mixer) and im getting a DDJ SX2.

Its either that or buy a "new" used one.
All help is appreciated.
Thanks

It's just above minimum spec, and will most likely fall over if you use pitch n time.

keep this laptop as a backup and invest the upgrade money towards a new mac.

All right. What About the new Macbook Air? will the cheapest option suffice? I dont need another MBP, I could use a macbook air :-)
