What features would you like to see in Serato software?

Separate tracklists per deck

I was playing on a few CDJ's on HID mode the other day and one of the small things I didn't like was that the track browsing is linked to all CDJ's (I.e. if you scroll up on one CDJ, then the other CDJ screen will scroll up as well.)

Now the reason I'd like to have separate tracklists per deck is because I like to have my acapella's on my third deck and not having to browse back to my acapella crate every time I need one (which is doable if you use your CDJs with regular media).

This could be potentially implemented for the Pioneer DDJSZ and Numark NV as well as other controllers with separate browse buttons.

Most have an issue with the limited amount of space for library browsing as it it. This would essentially cut this limited space in half, no?

Use the prepare slot, or browse tab at the top and label all your Accap. in Genre to easily filter your playlist to grab what u need.

I think he just wants the screens on the CDJ to remember where he was browsing on that particular CDJ. Not necessarily having a separate panel on screen for each deck

Are we forgetting the fact that the screen is directly tied to what is being view on said decks though? I get that what he wants but then what is the screen doing? Bouncing back and forth between the two "cursor" locations/crate locations or only deck A? Is the screen just completely unrelated now? I am just not understanding how one can be thought of without the other. There is a huge hole in this.

Not something I would need but it could bounce as each CDJ is touched. If you're using the CDJs in that manner I wouldn't think you'd need the library on screen. Someone who is after this type of behavior I would assume is wanting to mimic traditional CDJ behavior and isn't interested in using the computer to load tracks.

Though with a little more brainstorming there might be a more elegant solution. Perhaps the onscreen cursor wouldn't need to follow the CDJs at all

.................Would be how I would attack this myself.

Sorry I didn't see that in your post on the first read through.
