Numark Mixtrack Pro 3 with DJ Intro and audio Lag

DJ2ply 6:38 PM - 6 July, 2016
Hey everyone,
I am running a Numark Mixtrack Pro 3 with DJIntro. I have the output of my controller going into the line in (on board, not a sound card)on my desktop. it sounds great but here's the problem...

I am experiencing lag to the point where I cannot properly mix my songs. I hear the song in my headphones before hearing it on my computer speakers, so the song in headphones is ahead of the output.

How can I resolve this? do I need to purchase a sound card? new drivers? any help will be awesome.

thanks!

Might want to add the specs of your computer.

Have you ran DJ Intro before with another controller?

Have you updated all the drivers?

Also, Have you tried connecting directly to speakers?

Computer Specs:

dual core processor
8gb ram
160gb hd with 2 tb external hard drive
no sound card....using on board sound

all of the drivers are updated

the sound is perfect when I use another dj program such as virtual dj or Mixx. serato is the only one that lags

AMD or Intel? Windows or Mac?

I had a windows intel that was old as dirt and serato ran not great but ran. Purchased a new AMD with top of the line specs that wouldn't even run serato at all. Yet ran any other DJ software fine. Serato doesn't play well with a lot of hardware for some reason.

It's an Intel with windows 10. the requirements for serato is at least an i3. maybe I am getting the lag because of my processor.

Could be. Sorry, I really don't know was just trying to get as much info as possible so perhaps someone with a bit more knowledge would be able to help when they come across the thread.

Have you tried running audio directly too speakers instead of routing it back thru your computer? If so, Did you get the same results?

Hey DJ2ply,

You're right - the minimum specs for Serato DJ Intro do require an i3 or above.

What USB buffer setting do you have selected? Does it help if you move it to the right one or tow settings?

Also, I would suggest running through the steps in our guide for optimising your computer for DJing.

i am having an issue with serato. it keeps on lagging well the song sticks and sometimes stop.
also at the top right corner it shows a small circle which blinks both red and yellow
whenever i plug in my charger it does that and when i take out the charger it plays perfect.

i got an i3-5005U CPU processor
TM core
2.00GHz
4.00GB RAM
6-bit OS
x64-based processor
windows 10
Dell touch screen

i did the following but still having problems. but my problems occur only when my charger is plugged to my laptop and it does that with other chargers as well
they all say plugged in but not charging
that's only when the sound on serato lags or the program actually sticks and asks to close but the problem started to stick more after applying the settings above

Hi All. I have recently just purchased the Mixtrack Pro 3 and i am having the same problem when I connect it up to my speakers through the USB port on my Macbook Pro. The sound coming through the headphones is slightly quicker than what is coming out of the speakers so I cannot mix tracks

Please can someone help? I am using Serato Lite if this helps

Thanks
