this is really hard to understood, also feels like this only apply to people who uses a controller. i use turntables with Rane 62 or SL 3 in occasion with scratch live, of course i have use serato dj before, but does not feel comfortable at all with the layout display really hard to find music in the library. like i say i'm still using scratch live and feels great, the colors are much better than serato dj, and stability cuz scratch live doesn't take that much memory on the CPU as Serato DJ does, BTW, i'm running a Macbook Pro 13'', 2.5 GHz Intel Core i5, 16 GB 16 MHz DDR 3 and 500 SSD HardDrive.

with your specs you should easy run Serato DJ with the key analyses. For Scratch Live, which is End Of Life for 3years already, you can use Mixed in Key software. It is easy to use, even with DVS.

I use turntables too and I have the same specs Serato Dj runs super smooth even with other apps on the background. Like Ableton let's say which I use to play via midi keyboard some melodies above the Serato tracks (now with the Link I hope I could do even more). With the turntables, a "cheap" yet great controller like dicer would be great. You just trigger the sync and key buttons and off you go. :)

Same for me. I still use & prefer SSL with SL1 under Windows 10 because of the superb GUI (layout, display, colors, etc.). I'm djing since 1983 and never had the harmonic keys. I play from my heart what I like - and dance floor is always full.
