Numark NVII sound quality

Specifications says that it's 16 bits depht controller, not 24 bit as the rest of controllers I know.

I like it, but that's the only problem I see for it.

Someone who has played with it or owns it: is the SOUND QUALITY good for a gig or a big room? Or it's better just for home use because of the bad sound card?

I think a lot of us "think" we've heard differences in sound quality between controllers w/integrated sound cards (necessary in SDJ, because it doesn't allow choosing it's output, so you can't quickly A/B anything), but I really wonder if there are significant differences, if all of the controller's knobs and sliders are in a neutral position - and you would have to scope out the outputs to set the "neutral" setting. As an example, perceptions that a certain controller has a "warm" sound is probably because the so-called "neutral" settings on the knobs/sliders are really not neutral.

Most of us are working with 320 cbr mp3's, probably sourced from 44,100 16 bit CD's. A higher resolution of 24 bit "may" help when altering the sound (FX, etc.), but basic sound quality, I doubt.

thanks for the reply.

But it would be great if someone has upgraded from a nv to an DDJ SX or something and the sound quality is so clear.
