Hi guys, am totally confused lol

Running Serato DJ V 1.9.6 with Serato video plug in, all paid for and registered and legit.

Some weeks on setting up for my Saturday VDJ residency, when it comes to the cue/prefade screens on the software, the video output from each deck and master output will not show with video tab window yet output from mac via lightning video output device is fed to venues screens

I have taken photos to try and illustrate the issue but can't seem to attach to my post

To summarise, video is outfitted to screens but I can't prefade in DJ box so have no clue of what video is going to be outputted unless cross fader is in appropriate channel with audio in venue

HELP!! Anybody have a clue as to what's going on??

It's a bug just restart your computer they'll reappear. Welcome to Serato Video😂

Tried restarting three times last night but to no avail. Will look into the renaming of files in library and try too and see what happens. Thanks guys

Yes, will try link in downtime this week as didn't want to do on night of playing out in case stuff went wrong. Have had a search this afternoon for relevant libraries so will give a go at home later this evening and see if it resolves issues. Again, thanks guys for help and suggestions

Yeah sorry this is happening for you. But it's been a problem even when I purchased my 2014 mbp but I just restarted the laptop and they re-appeared. I still have to restart on occasion when it happens. I've heard others try the link for a work around but it still hasn't helped them. I just think it's a bug and they've never fixed it cause it doesn't happen with Mix Emergency which is a better platform for VJ'ing anyways.

hi tecniq. Im using a mbp from mid 2012 and has served me well. O/S on a sandisk 256gb ssd and music library on a 1tb crucial ssd fitted instead of cd-rom drive. RAM upgraded to 16gb from crucial memory. Been using serato video since 2012 without any real issues, have held o/s back to yosemite until last 6 months due to various comments seen about stability issues and had real nice fluid video output without issue. last six months since upgrading to sierra, had times where video output has been fluid and sweet, other weeks with glitches and stutter without changing any settings. Funnily enough, although preface screens missing, master output is very smooth though and clear without stutter. Will keep trying restarting and library file renaming so if it improves situation

how does mix emergency compare set up wise? is UI similar to serato?

This is Mix Emergency it has better built in recording, loads of transition fx SV isn't capable of plus tons of other features. Check it out at www.inklen.com the trial is free.

FYI: almost every professional VJ is using M.E. it is more advanced.
