I have a Pioneer DJ-SX, Serato DJ 1.7.8 and a 2014 Macbook Pro running Yosemite 10.10.1, my backup computer is a 2011 Macbook Air running El Capitan. I also purchased pitch n time and flip during a sale and have not activated them yet. I am quite proficient with updating etc but adopt the don’t fix whats not broken approach. I am now keen to activate the expansion packs I purchased and need advice from some of the experts regarding Serato DJ as to what version to update to? I am quite happy with my DDJ-SX and just need both of my laptops to work flawlessly with it and Serato DJ, no other hardware required. I am a working mobile DJ so reliability is my main priority. Should I stick with what I Serato DJ 1.7.8 will that work with both operating systems or what?

1.78 will work with both OSX's but I advise you update to at least SDJ 1.98..... for the most stable to date are 1.78 & 1.98 but its best to update because it has stability and bug fixes in the new versions also you might like the SP8 sampler on the new version compared to the 1.78 SP6.
