SL3 on Serato DJ and DVS expansion?

I'm a little confused with the DVS thing. I do have an SL3 which can be used with Serato DJ as well as SSL.

So should I have the DVS expansion for SDJ? Because I don't seem to have it.

I also have a pair of V7's registered. And now latest equipment I'm using is DJ-808.

The SL3 doesn't require you pt purchase the DVS pack because it is bundled with the in built license. You would need a mixer to use with it and I don't think your 808 will faclitate this unless used as a standalone mixer (I can't confirm if the 808 does this) and this means you can't connect the USB from the computer to the 808. What you can do is buy DVS for use with the 808 as I see it is DVS ready and this will be your mixer connected to your computer. Your SL3 would play no part in this series of connection.

Was hoping that as an SL3 owner I would have it automatically.

But I guess you get nothing for free these days .... :)

you do for as long as you're using the sl3. which btw i'd highly recommend because of the sound quality.

As was mentioned before, by R-A-C you do have it but it is bundled with the SL3 and can be used with that. TO use DVS with your 808 you'd need to buy that expansion serparately

Thanks all, yes so it’s licensed per whatever controller you happen to be using. Unless you buy the full suite option?

This might help.

If you buy the DVS Expansion pack you will be able to use it on ANY Serato device that supports the DVS.

If you buy the Serato DJ license you'll be able to use full Serato DJ with ANY controller that is supported by Serato.

Including but not limited to, the DJM900NXS, NXS2, DJM850, DJ808, DJ505, Denon Prime Series etc...
