Should I buy Pioneer Ddj-Sr?

Dj Gek 3:31 AM - 25 December, 2017
Hi all, I'm new on this forum.
I state that I am quite good at mixing.
I have a Pioneer Ddj-Ergo and I want to change this controller and buy something more performing.
I would buy a Pioneer Ddj-Sr of second hand, because at the moment this is my budget.
Is a good controller for some dj set in a pub or disco? Thanks!!

no. pioneer is overpriced and doesn't sound good in comparison. hence overpriced ... you get the idea :-P
if you want something nice have a look at roland and denon. if you want something good don't get an all-in-one device at all but start with an SL2/3/4 and put serious hardware around that.

How much is your budget? As for the ddjsr it’s a very old controller i don’t suggest anything second hand. There have been a few channel fader problems with the SR too. Some have been fine though. I couldn’t imagine paying for anything second hand.

Should I wait and preserve much money? Or should I buy a Pioneer ddj-sx? Because one my friend has to sell it, and the controller is in very good conditions. What do you think? Thanks

I don't like the design of the other brands, for me pioneer is the top. One my friend has to sell his Pioneer ddj-sx, and the controller is in very good conditions, should I buy it? Is still a good controller?

if you want an all-in-one device and only pioneer then just take whatever your budget allows.

I have the SX2 and from what I understand, there's not a big difference between the 2. I've had it for over a year now and not 1 single problem with it or Serato. If its in good shape, then I would say buy it. If something happened to my SX2, I would buy it again.

Right now I'm using it with a $500 HP laptop with an i5 and 8gb of ram. No speed issues.
