Off the radar...

Might just be me but the famous Serato needle marker reminded me this morning of an actual submarine radar/sonar blip screen and problem I seem to notice is that if you are like me and don't particularly like your bars flying past you on the screen like an F1 racing car then wouldn't it be nice if the rotating needle marker synced with the desired speed of the bars!? I think it would just look alot more tidy if they did also wouldn't the anylize bar that tells you how much progress you have made look better in the gold colour that we have when getting a message at the bottom of the screen to tell us our controller is being connected. I can see Serato have done this with a blue coloured bar in intro already.

Hey man.

I'm not totally sure I understand what you are getting at with the needle dial. I guess it depends on what gear you are using, or what you have used in the passed in relation to understanding how it tracks.
At the moment it is sync'd to the tempo of the track based on how a record spins on either 33 or 45 rpm (user preference). This makes total sense to me, and I'm not a DVS performer. Basically every time a record makes a revoultion and passes the needle on the turntable, the serato dial display mirrors the information so it doesn't matter if you are looking at the record or the screen. Even on my controller (I use an SZ) this works perfectly. If you want to change the speed of the wave forms going passed, just zoom out using your laptops + & - keys. I tend to zoom in for prep work, but zoom out for performances.
